Torrent may be too big and diverse (I’m only DL’ing less than half the content) to retain many seeders but it’s a great effort.
Anyone can confirm that all the translated files is included from all years before 2009?

This torrent has been seeded since early 19 Jan. Sometimes by 3 or 6 seeders and now with just 2 or 5. I guess that some seeders aren’t connected 24/7. What surprises me is that the upload rate does not seem to improve with multiple (albeit slow) seeders. In all this time no original leacher (non-original seeder) has ever completed 100%. After, what?, 17 full days of seeding only 81.2% are in general circulation. This has got to be the fault of bad tracking, not just slow uploading. There are 1427 downloaders and the data rate is staccato. Like a giraffe swallowing. When the leachers finally absorb the whole thing you are going to see some fantastic transfer rates for anyone who has not connected until that time. It will take forever for members to get their share ratios above unity. Mine ratio is currently at .137 and my cut off limit is at 3.0. I suspect at this rate I will be seeding well into May.
Going from the comments over at Deadfrog; yeller is the sole seeder and his upstream is only 48kb/s.
You’re right. When I do the math:
51,762,580,182 bytes * 81.6% = 42,238,265,428 currently transferred.
nearly 17 whole days is 1,468,800 seconds.
giving an average 28,757 bytes/sec from a single seeder.

Unfortunately efficiency is not 100% even in super-seed mode. Also, part of the problem is due to the fact that the seed isn’t connectable (long story). The seed has uploaded 120% but only 91.3% is available in the swarm.
Anyways, my reason for posting is I’m interested in making a v2 of this torrent with stuff I was previously missing and new stuff. Assuming enough people will seed with their old files so I only have to seed the new stuff.
I’m wondering how I should go about this though.. my options:
1) Wait for this to complete 100%, make a new torrent with the new files and just link to the old one from it and hope people move to the new .torrent so I can delete the old one (or possibly just leave both going)
2) Edit the posts and replace the .torrent with the v2 and hope people will grab the new .torrent file and seed with what they currently have.
3) Go ahead and make the v2 now, and delete the old .torrent since this one is already at 90% and is plenty fine for seeding the v2 to start with. (assuming people will move to it)
What to do…
OK. After some input from somewhere else. I’m probably going to go with option #3 on Sunday night, assuming all goes well.

There are 1889 flesh and blood people out there, most of whom in good faith have cached over 90% of the biggest damn torrent I have ever seen. I have bandwidth to burn and tons of disk space but this is no true for all. I think you are asking a lot of everyone to rip the current torrent down this soon. I personally recommend option number 4 if you really want to post a new one this soon. Option 4 is to add a new torrent with no overlapping content to the old one.
On second thought, there is no long term reason not to take option 3 as long as you delete the old torrent FROM THE TRACKER. Then you will not water done the first torrent. Also by doing it now you break the old torrent before it can be completed so you force people to make the switch.
But the real reason I recommend 3 is because it will be you (not me) who takes the flack from those 1889 guys for being preemptively forced to do this. Your own personal experience of the consequences of that action will go much farther than me spouting my petty opinion.

On looking back I’m not sure I understood your option 1. Is that the same as my option 4? Also option 2 does not seem to be mutually exclusive of any other option. I was a bit confused but decided to respond anyway. Option 3 was clearly an overlapping replacement and as that seemed to be decided I felt the need to speak up.
Relax. When I upload the v2 I will upload it to the same places I uploaded the v1, and when the people on the v1 notice the seed goes away at 95% the vast majority should find the v2 and jump onto it. The directory name will remain the same and the v2 .torrent will resume at 90% or so for people who were at 95%~ on the v1.
Just spread the word if you are worried!

Sorry to do this, but I left out a couple of really good scanlations! Plus I wanted to add new stuff that had been posted here..
Not many people have moved yet, but at least there are peers out there with 81%+ who have. It will take some time to see how many of the original peers will move over though. It is also possible that the v1 torrent will complete itself because the seed did send out over 100% of the pieces, but I doubt it.

What the hell… I was nearly finished, and now I have to pick and choose the files I needed all over again? Couldn’t this have waited until there were other seeders?

And it isn’t as though I’m going to totally abandon the peers left on the v1 torrent, I just wanted to make sure a sufficient number of people who had already mostly finished the v1 to come on as peers for the v2 so I wouldn’t have to upload it all by myself again. :3

When I finish the v2 I will probably hop onto the v1 torrent to help out the few hundred people who don’t know what the fuck is going on

By way of explaining the numbers people may be seeing:
People who came over at 81% represent those who had 95%+ on v1 but did not bother to prefill the 0EX folder before switching. Those who did prefill that folder will start out at around 85 or 86%.
Even for those who add 0EX, their total downloaded byte count will be lower on v2 than it was on v1. The reason is because by adding new files at the front of the torrent all of the the “piece” boundaries get shifted and won’t line up with the original gaps. Every former unfilled gap will increase by one “piece” under v2 and a piece is 4 megabytes with this torrent. There are enough “lost” (unrecognized) pieces to more than overcome the 2.18 gig added by the 0EX folder.
This loss would not have happened if people switch only after reaching 100% (which is too late) or if the torrent had been structured so that new items appeared at the end of the piece list (also too late).
Hmm, I just did the math and you are right, There was a loss of about 2GB for the people who moved over. Oh well, that extra uploading is on me.
Also, don’t worry about hopping back to the v1 if you’ve already switched. I was already planning to finish up any peers left on the v1 when the v2 finishes.
The only reason I did this was that I wanted to make sure I got people on the v2, and also the first feedback I got from people was to just take option #3 if I wanted to make a v2. So, that is what I did. :p
After I finish this one, I’ll just let someone else handle any new torrents. My upstream isn’t made for this, but no one else had made such a torrent and some friends of mine requested it. Didn’t even expect it to get linked to on here with all of the extra stuff I added in.
damn, I had a ratio of 35 on v1 (partial seeder 700mb/20+gb)
It seems like Nice Guy and Bob are into partial seeding. If many others are doing that it would explain where yeller’s bandwidth went. When super-seeding he only sends out one copy of each 4mb piece to different peers who then must share it. Partial downloads divide up pieces where the ending and beginning sections are downloaded and thrown away. If such happens with the original piece then it is lost to the cloud and yeller must send it out again later. Partial seeding does not show respect for the torrent or its seeder.
Once a torrent has been established and there are seeds other than the initial seed, then selecting certain files and folders is fine. But yes, I thought it might cause problems when people did this during the initial seeding, but not quite as bad as it has been. I was expecting like 90% efficiency or so, but it ended up to be more like 60%.
As long as I have this ‘~uTorrentPartFile’ I’ll continue to seed those partial-skipped-file pieces UhClem was talking about.
The torrent size was 20+GB larger than what was available, the other several hundred torrents running kinda take up space.
It seems that many people are stuck at 92.6 percent only, with no progression at all. What’s going on?

Current progression of the v2 torrent is 95.5% available in swarm, with most any one peer I’ve seen having 95.3%.
Did you just jump on and max your downstream until 92% and just freaked out because it stopped going fast at that point or something?

I finished 20+ peers on the v2 before dropping off to finish any peers left on the v1 torrent, which is now also done. Apparently the peers I finished on the v2 ditched immediately and/or were cheating. Hopping back onto the v2 until more seeds are created again, blame cheating peers and people who dropped off as soon as they hit 100%.
150 seeds on the torrent now.

Again, if you downloaded the V1 or V2 please seed with your old files, download this one to the same dir. Not all old files may get checked 100% because of the block boundaries. I will make sure to seed any pieces not covered by old seeders and my new seeder with only the new material.
@NeoMan033: Neither me or my seeder is really interested in making another torrent with only the Feb09 to June09 stuff. *Maybe* I’ll consider doing so once the V3 complete batch torrent finishes uploading and is seeded well. You could just run a diff on the file listing of the two torrents to see the new files and then only download those. Partial leechers are welcome, but if you only want to get part of the torrent please wait until it is well seeded by people who have the entire thing first as it might mess with the efficiency of the upload a little.
One more time: anyone who was seeding on the V2, please seed with your old files on the V3. It will speed things up TREMENDOUSLY. Thanks
Ok I am currently seeing 1.972 distributed copies available in the swarm. This means 97.2% of the torrent is out there with the old seeders and my new seeder combined. I’ll handle the remaining ~3% myself.
THANK YOU whoever is seeding with the old files and anyone else who has them please do so too, I think there is only one old seed so far. If we can get 5-10 old seeds from the v2 then this torrent should go blazing fast instead of taking weeks to upload.

Unfortunately I did not keep track of that. The “loli.pant.su” dir is all stuff from pant.su except for like 3 or 4 doujins I threw in there. The “translated” dir is more comprehensive than what is even on pant.su so there is a lot there not on pant.su. The stuff in archive is a mix of stuff from pant.su and my own collection as well. The “ew.gayshit.shota” dir is just some random shota stuff I have lying around for the rare occasion I am feeling kinda queer.
That is about all the info I can provide you with.

I’m using utorrent 1.8.2. I’ve registered to the site. Anyone have any idea what might be blocking me and what could remedy it? I’m in the US so I doubt it’s a general cockblock on this specific torrent, but I could be surprised.
Just an addendum it seems I can use the v2 torrent just fine, it’s only the v3 that’s screwing me.
One of the files it’s trying to write to is read-only or in use by another process (e.g. indexing).

Nothing with my torrent is going to give you access denied, that is something with your configuration. If you try to download to a non-existent directory it will give you this error too. I’m assuming you either did this or the anon above me is right.

Yeller i have a question. As I saw you included some random and not loli.pant.su stuff. I wanted to ask you if you could do perhaps a Batch torrent the translated (ENG) mangas at for xttp://gm.e-hentai.org/torrents.php . They have many releases everyday (not just loli) and the problem is that most of their torrents have no seeds after about 3 months. The second problem is that they dont have a Batchtorrent at all and the many files they publish will be lost forever. What do you think?
There is another Saha torrent at sahadou.com which has most of the saha stuff about 20 GB i think. If you add your loli.pant.su to it, this is a big collection. The only thing that would make the doujin/manga scene more complete would be a batchtorrent for the abovementioned http://pant.su/index.php/2009/06/batch-torrent/ tracker. There is another site which would perhaps not be bad to be included hentairules.net go and choose the “List of Everything shared.” There are some Translators who make batchtorrents but they are in the minority unfortunately and many of their works got deleted of ddl and their torrents are without seed.
So i have a suggestion why dont anyone make a site indexing H-Manga/Doujin Batchtorrents only? like e.g. hmbatch.com . There are some other small batches in the tokyotosho.com hentaisection. Some names are shinkage, fakku etc. all of those could be included on the batch index site. Would make things easier to get and download and the work would not get lost in the future.

Sorry, I hadn’t checked this page in forever. I’m really only interested in loli and some specific shota. I’m not even archiving the stuff on pant.su unless it has at least some loli in it. I’ll probably have a v4 version of the torrent by December or January.
So just letting everyone know, as far as raws go… I can only guarantee it will be in my next torrent if it was posted here and it is loli. I also add some of my own stuff, and of course it will have all translated loli stuff I’ve been able to find even if not posted on here.
There is a lot of non-loli stuff in the torrent, most of the non-loli stuff posted on here will be in the torrent.. but just no guarantee it will be in there if there was no loli in it.
The V4 torrent may end up being over 140GB.
